You’re officially part of Cam’s Club! I’m Cameron, a college student who’s currently studying Graphic Design at Grand Valley State University. But beyond my studies, my life revolves around three main things: writing, traveling, and food.
Writing has always been how I process the world. I enjoy telling stories that would otherwise go unheard. Whether it’s capturing a personal story, creating a new one, or simply turning everyday moments into something meaningful, writing and becoming an author is a passion of mine. Some stories stick with us forever. Maybe it’s a conversation that lingers, a place that shifts your perspective, or even a simple thought that sparks something bigger. Writing is how I hold onto those moments and share them in a way that feels honest and real. I’m an aspiring author and as I learn and grow toward my ultimate goal of getting published, I’ll share my journey here with you.
Travel keeps me curious. I’ve explored Great Britain, France, Italy, Alaska, Montreal, Toronto, and four cities in Vietnam, each leaving me with unforgettable experiences. From historical streets to breathtaking landscapes, every place has shaped the way I see the world and myself. Some of my favorite memories come from the unexpected moments like getting lost in side streets and wandering through museums.
And food? That’s been part of my story since the beginning. Growing up with a baker for a father and a mother who’s family used to own a restaurant, I learned that food isn’t just something you eat, it holds memories and traditions. I love experimenting with flavors inspired by places I’ve traveled, recreating dishes that remind me of certain moments, or just cooking something that brings people together. Food has this way of connecting us, and that’s something I’ve always loved.
